For my 11-year-old daughter Kayti's take on our trip to Ohio, or on anything else she feels like opining about, check out her site: http://omegaz-7.deviantart.com/journal/
My Uncle Hervey, now deceased, warned me when I told him I was planting zucchini: "Stand back!" I planted, I stood back, and was delighted when my plants actually did produce zucchini. Singular. For two years, that's the only zucchini I grew. This year, the summer squash joined the revolt.
It's kind of the story of my life. What other people accomplish with ease, I struggle at and fail. It's OK, though, because I have a KILLER sense of humor that gets me through the heartache.
I hope you enjoy the blog. I'm going to try to write every day, just like I wrote in my diary every day until I got a life, around age 35.
I'm 56 now, married, a mom (and was THAT an eye-opener!) and live on the 7.33-acre Stick Farm that is my agony and my ecstasy.
Read it and weep - preferably with laughter.
